What do you want to eat tonight?  Tacos or Asian? Asian tacos? Yes, Korean tacos to be precise, and it’s what’s for dinner, or lunch.

ATMOSPHERE: There really isn’t much of an atmosphere here at all. It’s a food truck parked at a gas station.

PRODUCT:  This was my first go at Korean tacos and I’ve got to say it was a success. We tried two of twelve selections and both were delicious. We are absolutely going back.

PRICE: We paid 16.00 for two meals and two drinks.

HOSPITALITY: Again not really a place where you can gage this. The food doesn’t take long and you can even call ahead but, it’s a food truck so you’re not really waited on.

LOCATION: You can find the Korean BBQ House parked outside of the Chevron on Fern Creek and Colonial.

The Dessert Lady sits within a relic of a building complete with brass detailed doors, heavy deep wood pillars, and old world furniture. You can eat on the patio or in the dining room , bejeweled with the polishes of old world allure. The music that surrounds you here is as cozy as the comfort sweets you’ll enjoy.

PRODUCT:  There are cheese trays, wraps, sandwiches, and soups, but let’s get to the point; dessert. The cakes here are literally to die for, after my first bite I knew this was the kind sweet that could heal a broken spirit and sore heels at the end of a long day. It can equally start a beautiful morning or provide you a shake inducing sugar rush. The confections of the dessert lady will undoubtedly have you returning morning noon or night.

PRICE:  We paid 25.00 + tip for two (enormous) slices of cake a tall glass of milk and a mango iced tea.

HOSPITALITY:  The staff here is hospitable and funny while imparting a cool, chill, laid back air of effortlessness.

 To love your mother is as natural and necessary as breathing, whether you had a good one or a bad one, whether she birthed you or just raised you, you should love your mom. Many of us go through phases of frustration with our mothers; a few of us have legitimate reasons to carry a chip on our shoulders, but all of us can find a reason to be thankful for the women who bring us up. Moms sacrifice their bodies, their time, their manicures, and their gag reflexes to care for us when we are sick, keep us clean, play with us and show us how to be good people. I often get angry when I hear people berate their mothers, you don’t have to like you mother but part of maturing as a person is to forgive, comprehend that our mothers are humans, and learn the lessons we can, even if those lessons teach us who not to be. I, for one, love my mother. Although there have been bumps in our road together, even though we are very different women, and even if she doesn’t always get me, my mom has nothing but the best intentions. I appreciate every day that I am loved so whole heartedly by my mom. I love her for being the best example to me that anyone could have been and for being the best mom ever.
